Pew Renovation Concludes | October 17
We’re excited to announce that construction to replace our pews and kneelers with new solid oak pews will conclude Saturday, October 17! The crew will continue cleanup in the church Saturday morning, so the 8:00 AM daily Mass will be celebrated in the Stone Chapel. All weekend Masses will return to the church.Thank you for your patience, prayers, and support throughout this project. The new pews not only enhance the beauty of our worship space by complementing the wood tones of the church ceiling, they also provide greater accessibility. Six locations throughout the church offer wheelchair accessible seating, and four pews are positioned higher to assist those who have difficulty rising from a standard-height seat. We ask that these pews be reserved for those who need them and their families. Please see the map for locations. Highlighted blue are raised seats, and the red dot marks wheelchair accessible pews.
You may notice that a few pews and several kneelers are still missing. These pieces required adjustments that could not be completed on site, and the vendor expects to install them later next week.
Our maintenance team will also spend the coming weeks repairing floor tiles found broken beneath the old pews and filling the holes left by the previous pew bolts.
Thank you again for your generosity and support as we complete the final details of Phase 2 of Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future. We look forward to continuing this work together in the next phases of our capital campaign.
